I have no time to write much because I am busy making samples, kits and writing instructions for a new bead crochet class that I will be teaching at the Innovative Beads Expo in Edison, NJ on April 1, 2012. It is a new class that will cover the basics of tubular bead crochet as students make a length of bead crochet of size 8/0 beads and turn it into a pendant (like the ones on the left) with some basic wire work.
I will also be teaching the Side by Side necklace (shown above) as well on March 31 at the Innovative Beads Expo in Edison, NJ. I had a few months of worry as Saralee Rhoads, the artist who makes the lovely ceramic clasps for the project, seems to have disappeared.
Reluctantly, I searched for other clasps and found some lovely replacements made by Cindy of Captured Moments...
and PajegoArtHouse
I am looking forwad to sharing the new clasps with my students. Details about both classes and registration can be found at Innovative Beads Expo. Now back to making up kits.
